By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, November 22. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast:— Two disturbances have passed, one in the North and one in the South, and rain has fallen generally, and been heavy on the East Coast of the South Island. The present indications are for a change foi more northerly winds. A storm area appears to exist to the north-west, and threatens the North Island after about forty hours. The weather will probably be changeable in the meantime.

Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at the Upper Plain for the 24 hours preceding <J p.m. on Sunday was 56 points, and for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Monday 37 poii ts,
