THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.
The large audiences which are in attendance nightly at the Foresters' Hall, are ample proof that a perman ent picture entertainment is acceptable to the Masterton public. Last night was no exception, and the excellent programme submitted was redeived in a most enthusiastic manner. The beautiful scenic productions in natural colours were very popular, and the fine historical subject "Samson" deserved the applausa it received. To-night there will be a complete change of programme, including "The Street Waif." This picture has (according to a contemporary) created a sensation wherever produced, and is full of pathos. The comic element will be well to the fore, and patrons are assured of a good laugh at "An Aerial Elope menu," "Married in Haste," and several others. This programme will be shown for three nights only, and will be replaced by a fresh instalment of films on Wednesday.
