The Japanese newspapers state that Prince Ito, who was murdered by a Korean at Harin, never adopted measures of self protection, and was always indifferent to people's anger. In answer to demands that Korea should be immediately annexed, the Japanese Foreign Office states that the assassination of the Prince will produce no change of policy.
