APPEAL FOR FUNDS.

An enthusiastic meeting at the Mansion House, arranged by the Shakespeare Memorial Committee, decided to appeal for half a million pounds for the purpose of founding a national theatre, £IOO,OOO to be de\oted to the purchase of a site, £150,000 for a building, and a quarter of a million for an endowment.
