LOSSES OF SHEEP

By Telegraph— Pr-ss Association. CHRISTCHURCH, October 25 In the Amberley district the losses of so far as can be ascertained are as follow:—Me3srs A. E 'Lutton 1,200. G. B. Starkly 900, J. Borgfeldt 140, W. A. Nicholls 13' J. The total loss is estimated at £2,500. Mr J. Ashworth, of Saltwater Creek, also had 400 unshorn sheep drowned through the river backing up and flooding his paddocks. Losses are also .reported from Waikari and Hawarden.
