The Peking correspondent of the "New York Herald" reports that Japan is deeply concerned at the statement that Washington is investigating the Manchurian Agreement, with a view to a possible protest, and states that Count Ito is now visiting Manchuria with a view to forestalling the protest by effecting a complete understanding with China. Count Ito is in conference with fchinese authorities and contends that China's interest is that China and Japan shq*ild exploit China to the exclusion of other Powers.
