MASTERTON TECHNICAL SCHOOL.
WOOL-CLASSING EXAMINATION. The following are the results of the wool classing examination conducted at the Masterton Technical School last evening by .Mr S. Wood, the marks obtainable being:—Practice 50, theory 40, total 90:— Name. Practice. Theory. TL A. J. Cooper 47 30 77 J. McCauley 45 23 68 These two candidates gain special mention. The foil iwin? candidates passed the examination :
Three other candidates just failed to qualify for a oass, gaining under 3-sths of the total marks. At th? eJose of the evening's work Mr A Gillies moved a vote of thanks to the instructor for the very able manner in which he had conducted the classes at the school and in doing so referred in very appreciative terms to the efforts put forth by both the instructor and tne Board of Managers for the welfare of the classes. This was seconded by Mr A. J. Cooper and carried by acclamation. Mr Wood suitably responded The sceretary, speaking for the Managers, stated that the had noted with much satisfaction the progress of the students, and intima-, ted -t.hjßt it was the intention -of the Board to run a further course *of in struction on similar lines during the coming year, the announcement. being received by those present with much satisfaction.
