At the National Rifle Association meeting at Randwick, in the Gordon Match (individual match at unknown ranges, eight shots>, Loveday, ot New Zealand, won £l. In the Finn Match (moving target) Bradley won £l, and in the Holmes aggregate Loveday, Bradley, Moore, and Duncan £1 each.

THE EMPIRE MATCH. COMMONWEALTH LEADING AT SHORTER RANGES. Received October*lß, 10 a.m. SYDNEY, October 18. The Empire Match was commenced to-day, in fine weather, a stiffish wind blowing at times. The three shorter ranges were dispossdjof to-day.||The shooting generally was very even, though the Commonwealth team managed to head New Zealand at every range, the scores being:— Commonwealth, 1,122; New Zealand, 1,057. The scores of the New Zealanders were:—

The only possiole was made by Howitt, the South Australian, at 500 yards. The longer ranges will be fired to* morrow.
