PALMERSTON NORTH SPRING CATTLE FAIR.

The second annual Cattle Fair, on account of Mr R. A. McKenzie, was held by New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. and Dalgety and Co., Ltd., in conjunction on, Wednesday, October 13tb. at Palmerston North. The weather was particularly favourable, and a very large attendance of buyers were present from Wairarapa, West Coast and also from Marlborough and West Coast of South Island. The cattle offered were exceptionally well bred, and owing to the mildness of the season were in excellent condition. Bid ling throughout was brisk, and every line was sold under the hammer with the exception of three pens of bullocks. The opinion was freely expressed by the general public that the yarding of cattle at this fair was the best that has been offerad in this district, and Mr McKenzie was widely complimented on the' excellent quality of the cattle, and on the manner in which they were shown to the public.
