RIFLE SHOOTING.

NATIONAL MEETING AT RANDWICK. Received October 12, 9 50 a.m. SYDNEY, October 12. The Members' Match, 700 yds, ten shots, first prize £lo, was won by a local rifleman. Pour New Zealanders—Masefield (Sounds), Patrick (Auckland), Dewar (Oamaru), and Marenzi (Eketahuna) —won £1 each. The New Zealand team express themselves well satisfied with the conditions at the Ranclwick ranges, and in practice work have been shooting well up to expectations. The selection of eight men to compete in the Empire match will not bo made till Saturday. Received October 12, 10 20 p m. SYDNEY, October 12. The following were the scores of the New Zealanders who were nonprize takers in the Jubilee Match:— Hobbs 91, Duncan, Cox and James 90 each, Hadfield 89, Halliday and ,Bradley 87 each, Masefield, Loveday, Franklin and Willoughby, 86 each, Hawthorne 85, Shaw and Guy 84 each, Lee and Mills 83 each Evans 81, Moore 77, McConnell 71. In the members' Match, Hadfield, Hawthorne and McConnell each scored 43, Craw and Loveday 41 each, Cox and Bradley 40 each,. Munro, King, Guy and Mills 39 each, Moore 38. James 37, Shaw 36, Hobbs 35, Halliday 34, Clyde, Franklin and Evans 31 each, Duncan 30, and Lee 29. To-day a fresh breeze was running and the light was dull. The Jaques Match was won by Brown, of Paramatta, with a score of 50. Hawthorn, James, Moore and Bradley (New Zealand) scored 47 each, and Guy and Evans 46 each (all taking £1). Shaw, Hadfield, Willoughby, Craw, MareDzi, Hobbs and Franklin, scored 45, Patrick, Munro, Mills and Cox, 44 each, King and Halliday, 43 each Duncan 42, Dewar 44, and Loveday, Lee and McConnell, 40 each The Dudley Match was won by Robinson, of Queensland, with a score of 50, Loveday was fifth with 49, and took £3. Patrick scored 48, Hawthorne, Clyde, Masefield and Guy 47 each (all £1 each). Cox and Lee 46 each, Shaw, Craw and Munro 45 each, Hadfield, King, Halliday and / McConnell 44 each, James and Bradley 43 each, Hobbs and Duncan 42 each, Evans and Marenzi 41 each, Moore and Willoughby 40 each, Dewar 38, Franklin and Mills 37 each. The first stage of the King's will commence to-morrow. October 13, 12.40 a.m. SYDNEY, October 12. The Newmarket Match was won by V. Bourke, of East Maitland, with a score of 59. Craw scored 36, Guy 34, Duncan, McConnell and King 32 each, Shaw. Hadfield and James 31 each, and Clyde 30. They all receive one pound each.
