METEOROLOGICAL.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 5. The following is Rev D. C. Bates' summary and forecast:—The weather has been generally cloudy and wet. The barometer has continued low in the southern districts, and fallen steadily in the North. Strong westerly and squally northerhes have prevailed. The present indications are for high westerly winds changing to the southward for more unsettled and cloudy weather fgenerally. The barometer will probably fall further in the North, but u decided rise is expected there after about 16 hours.
