BURGLARIES.
By Telegraph—Press Association. PAT MERSTON N., Sept. 28. Perry's general btore at Long burn was entered by burglars late on Sunday nieht, and gouda valued at from £7 to £lO removed. Entrance was effected by cutting a piece out of a glasg-panel door, and lifting the iron bar that secured if". The goods taken included boots, some clothing, and an assortment of elec-tro-plate. So far, no clue has beon obtained. A second burglary is reported by the police, Woodroffe and Co.'s store, Palmerston North, having been entered and goo.is valued at between £2O and £3O removed Entry was obtained through a back window, which was smashed and the catch unfastened.
