THE COAL "VEND."
NEW ZEALAND VESSEL BOYCOTTED.
NEWCASTLE, September 25,
The Coal "Vend'' is reported to have refused to load the barque Laura for New Zealand, and the vessel has been detained for a fortnight.
The objection is alleged to be that the Laura is a new vessel in the coal trade, and is not on the list which the Vend -is authorised to supply. It cannot furnish a cargo without permission from the Union Company.
