FATAL ACCIDENT.
By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 24. A distressing accident attended with fatal results occurred at Messrs Bowron's tannery at Woolston this morning.
An employee named Frederick Jensen, 24 years of age, went up a ladder to put some belting on a wheel when he was caught in the shafting and whirled round, being picked up unconscious with terrible injuries to his head. He was taken to the hospital in practically a moribond condition. Although everything possible was done for him he died about two hours after admission.
