BAD LIGHTING OF THE CAPE COAST,
A POOR EXCUSE. Received September 22, 8.5 a.m. CAPETOWN, September 21. The Cape Premier, Hon. J. X. Merriman. replying to a deputation from the Chamber of Commerce, said that he hesitated to increase the number o' lights on the Cape coast, fearing that it might stimulate reckless -navigation. Ha promised to consider tha question.
