In the Manawatu Open Ghampionship which commenced yesterday morning C. C. Cox (Masterton) (79) defeated J. Carne Bidwill (Masterton) (80), one up. Cox also defeated Colbeck, 2up and Ito play. In the semi-finals Cox, Druce, Tareha and Burns are left in. The result of the win by the Masterton team of the Manawatu Championship Teams Match was received with genuine satisfaction among golf enthusiasts in Masterton yesterday. It is also iritereiitng to record the recent win of the Ladies Teams' Championship of New Zea ■ and by the Wairarapa team, consisting of Rlesdames Guy Williams, W. E„ Bidwill, H.
