Received August 27, 11.5 a.m. ADELAIDE, August 27. The Royal Commission to enquire into the management of Parkside Lunatic Asylum found that some criminal lunatic 3 were allowed extraordinary privileges, such as having •whole days away from the asylum, and attendance at theatres. One inmate, who had been sentenced to twenty years' imprisonment for highway robbery, and who became a patient, had as many as twenty drinks while out with an attendant. The commission recommended that there should be more strict control and a rigid system of inspection.
