A MAGISTERIAL APOLOGY. By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, July 12. Sitting at Waikouaiti, Mr Hutchison, S.M., unreservedly, withdrew the strictures he had made thera concerning Messrs Moore and Moore, solicitors. He said thac Mr Justice Williams' observations were based on fuller material. His judgment having, as it now appeared, proceeded on incomplete and imperfect knowledge of the facts, the strictures contained in it must be taken to have been, erroneously based. Mr Hutchison made certain stric tures regarding Messrs Moore and Moore's action in connection with the application of one Poyntz for an oid age pension. As a result, the Law Society moved the Supreme Court to exercise the disciplinary jurisdiction in regard to Moore and Moore, but the motion was dismissed witt costs. His Honor. Mr Justice Williams, in giving judgment, said he hoped it would receive qs wde publicity as the c ti/unal charges.
