The Methodist Conference appointe 1 a committse to draw up a working schema with respect to an independent conference, for submission to the June quarterly circuit meetings. Up to the present 25 congregations have considered the question. the number of office-bearera present at the deliberations being 457. Of this number, 312 voted in favour of separation, and 126 opposed it, while 19 took up a neutral attitude.
