CELEBRATIONS IN UNITED STATES. FIREWORKS EXPLOSIONS. SIXTY PEOPLE KILLED. •Jnited Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright. Received July 7, 8.40 a.m. NEW YORK, July 6. Sixty persons were killed and five hundred injured by accidents during the Independence Day—July 4th — celebrations in the United States. Many of the casualties were caused by explosions of giant crackers.
