THE CAPITAL SITE.
REPORT OF ADVISORY BOARD. LARGE AREA TO BE ACQUIRED. Received June 24, 10 a.m. MELBOURNE, June 24. The report of the Federal Capital Site Advisory Board has been tabled in Parliament. The whole of the proposed area comprises 648,587 acres, described as suitable for building purposes. The water supply is good and plentiful. . The board considers that a practical railway route can be found between the capital and the coast, and suggested Jervis Bay as a terminal point. The Government will introduce a Eill at an early date, fixing the exact sit-3 of the capital.
