The newspaper Stamboul reports the discovery, in the cellar of a guardhouse at Yildiz Kiosk, of a box containing what is alleged to be the skull of Midhat Pasha, formerly Grand Vizier. His head was undoubtedly sent to Ab r !ul Hamid, who was then Sultan, in a similar box from Taif, in Arabia.
