UNIVERSAL MILITARY TRAINING.

ENTHUSIASTIC MEETING AT DANNEVIRKE.

By Telegraph—Press Association. DANNEVIRKE, May 31. Mr R.'McNab addressed a crowded audience here to-night on universal military training. He spoke on lines similar to previous meetings. The audience was very enthusiastic.

The following motion was carried unanimously:—"That, notwithstanding the enthusiasm of volunteers, the present system does not provide adequate means of sea defence, this meeting, therefore, asks the Government to introduce a system >jf universal military training for our young men." An amendment to have added to the motion the words "naval as well as military training" was carried. A patriotic song was sung with great gusto by the audience.
