EQUITABLE ARRANGEMENT WANTED. Received May 28, 10.25 a.m. BRISBANE, May 28. The Premier of Queensland, Mr Kidston, addressing the Brisbane Chamber of Commerce, said that if the smaller States did not secure an equitable financial arrangement with the Federal Government before 1910, it would be the coldest day for Queensland since securing responsible Government. The State Government, the Premier declared, would go forward till stopped by an adverse vote. If necessary, it would refer the issue to the electors.
