METEOROLOGICAL.
By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, May 13. The following is Rev. D. C. Bates' general weather forecast:—Moderate to strong southerly winds, and little movement of the barometer probable north of New Plymouth and Napier, increasing westerly and northerly winds elsewhere vtith a falling barometer; fair weather is probable generally. A low pressure area is due to pass over the South and culminate about the 17th. Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at Upper Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Thursday was 54 points.
