TASMANIAN ELECTIONS.
STRONG LABOUR PARTY. OLD OPPOSITION PRACTICALLY ANNIHILATED. Received May 3, 10.15 a.m. HOBART, May 3. The full returns of the Tasmanian elections are not yet to hand. On the first counts the Labour leaders claim eleven certainties, and they are hopeful of gaining the seat of Mr Urquhart, the Treasurer. The old Opposition has been practically annihilated. Labour w ill form the Opposition in the new House. Probably some sort of reconstruction will be proposed in order to knit the other parties together and present a solid fnnt to the Lai-oirites.
