The following U the Rev. D. C. Bates' weather forecast to 3 p. m. to-morrow .-—Strong .westerly winds are probable north of New Plymouth and Napier, and southerly strong to gale elsewhere. Rain is probable south of East Cape, Taupo and Raglan, and unsettled arid cloudy weather elsewhere.

Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at the Upper Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. yesterday was 18 points.
