STRIKE THREATENED
DISSATISFIED FRENCH CIVIL SERVANTS.
Received April 5, 10.55 p.m. PARIS, April 5,
The proposal of M. Clcmenceau (Premier) to legalise the Civil Servssociations, but denying them the right to strike, has led to a great protest meeting being held in Paris.
A number of tLe Postal and other State servants are fraternising with the Revolutionary Confederation of Labour.
Many subversive speeches have been delivered, and a secret mixed committee of twelve, representing the Civil Servants and ordinary Trade Unionists, has been formed to organise a general strike, with a view to compelling Parliament to yield the extreme demands.
