THE PARIS STRIKE.
CABLE NEWS.
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright,
AT AN END. GOVERNMENT FIRM, YET CONCILIATORY. Received March 24, 9 a.m. PARIS, March 23. The strike of French postal, telegraph and employees has ended. This fact is largely owing to the emphatic refusal of M. Clemenceau, Prime Minister, to discuss the demand of the strikers that the UnderSecretary for State, M. Simijan, should be dismissed. M. Clemenceau emphasised the Government's conciliatory attitude, which, he said, enabled all those out to resume work without fear of their heing dismissed.
