Mr Duncan M'Donaid is gazetted Registrar of Marriages, Births and Deaths for the district of FeatherStOD. Miss M. Hopper, who has held the position of infant mistress of the Grafton District School, Auckland, for 35 years, said to be a record for New Zealand, will retire at the end of this month. An enthusiastic neet,ing of old boys of the school met the other evening, ana a handsome tribute of their regard will be made to r Miss Hopper.
