METEOROLOGICAL.
Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at Upper Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Wednesday was 27 points, for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Thursday 12 points, and for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Friday 114 points. The total rainfall since March 3rd up till 9 a.m. yesterday was 2.06 inches. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Matrch 19. Following is Captain Edwin's weather forecast to 5 p.m. tomorrow : —Strong„winds to gale from the south and west northward of Auckland, but from the south and east elsewhere. .Rain is probable generally with rising bax'ometer northward of Auckland, but falling everywhere else.
