CHARGE AGAINST AN AUTHORITY. BKITISH GOVERNMENT SEVERELY CONDEMNED. LONDON, March 12. In the House of Lords and the House of Commons there were debates, in the course of which speakers severely condemned the Government for permitting the Swansea (Wales) educational authority to starve its church schools and differentiate in regard to the salaries of teachers in Church ana Board schools. Mr Balfour ridicules the plea of the Right Hon. Walter Runciman (President of the Board of Education) that the law did not allow the Education Department to interfere. Tne case has engaged public attention for many months.
