' In connection with the Service Match, Moslem, of Kaeo, won the Kynoch Cup. The following are the leading aggregates for all Teams Matches: Opaki, 662,- champion team, £5; Timaru Port Guards, 658, £4; Victoria Rifles A, 651, £3; Taranaki Guards, 642, £2; Opaki Rifle Club B, 639, £2; Dunedin Rifles, 637; Sounds R.C, 637; Napier Rifles, 636. The following are the aggregates for the Service Championship: —McLeay. Opaki, 198; Eden, Waim.ea, 195;' Marshall, Karori, 182; Peak, Waikato, 181; Kitchen, Upper Hutt, 180; Frederick, Marton, 178; Craw, Linton, 177; Barltrop, Feilding, 176. The Champion Teams Match was one of the important events on the programme, 46 teams taking part for the District Challenge Shield. Opaki No. 1 team put up a Trentham record, winning the match with the fine aggregate of 485 out of a possible 525. The teams consist of five men each, and the average points per shot works out at a little over ty out of a possible 5. The shooting was the most brilliant of the meeting, no fewer than 22 possibles being recorded. The highest individual score was made by Mawley, of Opaki, Hadfield, of Blenheim, and Hawthorn, of Wellington, each, made 101 out of a possible 105, while Sorenson, of the Nawton Rifles, Yeo, of Auckland, Mellor, of Petone, Halliday, of Karori, and Henry, of Opaki, aggregated 100. A noticeable feature of the Opaki team's win was the scoring of the possible at each of the three ranges by a different member of the te*m each tfene.
