WAIRARAPA HUNT CLUB.
ANNUAL REPORT. •The following is the annual report of the Master of th" Wairarapa Hunt Club (Dr. A. Hosking)l am ple-ised to congratulate members on a very successful season. The Club has prospered financially, and I think I may add that it has also increased in popularity. The balance-sheet shows a very satisfactory state of affair?. Both accounts, steeplechase and general, show a credit; the meeting, being favoured with splendid weather, gives us a surplus of £53 13s fid, while the general account is in credit £ls 17s. We start this season wit 1 * a credit balance of £7 J 10s (kl. There has been a decided interest taken in the Club by horsemen during the late season —as evidenced by the increase in our subscriptions and donations from £B7 in our last report to £133 this year. For this, our secretary, Mr Norman JameF, deserves the best thanks of the Club. It is also due to Mr Wm. Buick to record the appreciation of members of his strenuous efforts on our behalf during the season; and we must specially recognise the zeal of our Huntsman, Mr Harold Welch, who besides fulfilling his recognised duties as huntsman, has proved himself such an enthusiastic backer of the Club. I beg to call a general meeting for Saturday, March 13th, 190w, at 3 p.m., at the Club Hotel, Masterton, when I trust that all members wili attend and consider balance sheet and elect officers for ensuing year and general.
