NEW SOUTH WALES LOAN.

A DISTINCT REBUFF FOR THE STATE. Received February 26, 10 a.m. SYDNEY, February 26. Sir Hector Carruthers, .ex-Premier of New South Wales, states that the small subscription to the New South Wales loan is a distinct rebuff to the State. He says he is absolutely satisfied that a change must be made in the method of raising loans in London.

The New South Wales AgentGeneral in London (Mr T. A. Coghlan) cabled on Thursday that the unrest in Eastern Europe was affecting the public subscription to the loan.
