EKETAHUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
(From Oui' Own Correspondent).The ordinary meeting of ' the Borough Council was l.el'.i last evening. There were present—The'Mayor (Mr A. H. Herbert) and Crs" Mead, Knight, Carter and Wise. Accounts were passed for payment as follows:—Jones Estate, £270175; Electric Lighting Loan, £l6l lssd; General Account, £lB 7s 6a; "Office Expenses, £ls 7s lid; Hospital Levy, £8 13sl0d; Dog Registration, £3 2s lid; Advertising, £1 4s 9d. ■ The Council then adjourned till Wednesday night in order to allow Councillors to attend Mr Wragge's lecture.
