LONDON, January 22. Many leading footballers- assembled at Euston Station, London 1 , to bfd farewell to the Australian team of amateur footballers (the "WalTabies"). Moran stays in England. Received January 25, 12.10 a.m. LONDON, January 24. The Northern Union (three goals and three tries) beat the Australian League team (goal and a try). Fifteen thousand spectators were present. The Australians were outclassed, their combination being uncertain, whereas the English threequarters were brilliant and passed with precision. They were faster than the Australians.
