OUTRAGES IN IRELAND.
A CONSTABLE SHOT. THREE ARRESTS MADE. TENANTS' QUARREL. Received January 24, 4.15 p.m. LONDON, January 23. Two emergency men under the protection of Constable McGoidric were engaged in broad daylight yesterday re-building the walls of an evicted farm on the Clanricaides estate, at Crau*hwdl, when both received gunshot wounds from assailants behind a hecg ?. Constable MeGoldric pursued them and was shot dead. Subsequently a blacksmith end two farmers were arrested on suspicion. During the division of land at Peterswell the tenants quarrelled. The police interfered, and during a scuffle a blow fractured Sergt. Coghlan's skull. One arrest was tnade.
