LONGBUSH NOTES.
(Prom a Correspondent). . t We have had a spell of very bois- | terous weather which we could have j very well done without. j There was a meeting held in the i Longbush School, on Saturday the 16th, of settlers and those interested in starting a co-operative dairy factory; It was unanimously decided that it wa3 desirable that a factory should ibe established, and a committee wa3 appointed to obtain all information in connection therewith, to meet again in a fortnight. The Gladstone Sports Club have record nominations for the sports on 1 January 22nd, about double the number last year. The figures for this year are 80 against 44 last year. A large number of entries for horse events have been promised, all horse events being post entry. One Longbush settler sent away over 1,000 fat sheep in one draft ' last week.
