MINING TROUBLE OVER. l By Telegraph— Press Association. s THAMES, January 15. To day a notification was received j locally by saveral mine managers i t iat the mining companies had taken advantage of the offer made by the Premier.
The trouble having ended, the men are returning to work at onte The same intimation was forwarded to Tairua wh?re the Broken Hills, Golden Hills and ohcr properties, are resuming work with the usual complement o? mm. At the Thames some mines have already commenced work, and it is expected that by next Monday all the men will be employed. This has given much satisfaction locally. W HANGAR EI, January 15. Work re-started this morning at the coal mines owned by the Northern and Hikurangi Companies. Many miners are absent at present, but work will probably be in full swing again on Monday.
