EKETAHUNA NOTES.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Wednesday. The ordinary meeting of Court Makakahi, A.0.F., was held on Tuesday evening, Bro. F. Wise, C.R., presiding. The Woodwards reported two Brothers as sick and two recovered. The following officers were installed for the ensuing term: —C.R., Bro. B. Nichols; S.C.R., Bro. Crocker; S.W., Bro. Cittadine; J.W., Bro. Hunton; 5.8., Bro. W. Anderson; J. 8., Bro. Williams; Treasurer, Bro. T. Knight; Auditor, Bro. T. Bedding; Secretary, Bro. F. Wise. It was decided to call a meeting of the Sports Committee at an early date to arrange for the sports meeting. A meeting of the Eketahuna branch of the Acclimatisation Society, called for Saturday last, lapsed fox want of a quorum. Two cases of infectious diseases were reported to the County Council, and one to the Borough Council, during the last week. At the Eketahua Police Court, on Tuesday last, John Keogh was charged with stealing a hcrse, saddle and bridle, valued at £l2, the property of G. McLennor, of Mauriceville. Messrs F. C. Tumor and J. Haswell, J's.P., occupied the Bench. The accused elected to be dealt with summarily, and was sentenced to three months' imprisonment.
