Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at Upper Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Wednesday was 3 points. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, January 13. The following is Captain Edwin's weather forecast to 3 p.m. to-morrow: Westerly winds, strong to gale, over the North Island, aand southerly over the South, with unsettled weather generally; barometer falling, but rising everywhere after twelve hours.
