NAPIER TOU NAMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. NAPIER. January 12. The Bowling Tournament was resumed this morning in more promising weabter. To-day's results wen; as follow:--" FOURTH ROUND. Section A.—Remuera IS beat Pihama 16, Eltham 26 beat Waverley 17, Stratford 31 beat Waipawa 14, Turanganui 30 beat Potane 21, Bluff Hill 22 beat Victoria 11, Pahiatua a bye. Section B. —Palmerston North 28 beat Patea 8, Kawera 22 beat Newtown 12, Napier 22 beat St. John's 18, Upper Plain 18 beat Hastings 11, Carlton 21 beat Havelock IS, Thorndon a bye. Section C —Manaia 25 beat Drmnevirke 13, Masterton 17 beat Greytown 10, Greenmeadows 25 beat Wellington 13, Farr.don 23 beat Kelburno 10, Wanganui 27 beat Karori 16, Gisborne 18 beat Feilding 16.
In the fifth round Greenmeadows met a signal defeat, at the hands of Feilding by 37 to 13. Waipawa defeated Waverley by 17 to 16. Kelburne defeated Manaia by 21 to 12. Stratford were defeated by P;>hiatua by 27 to 12, the winners being always in the van. Victoria beat Peitane by 19 to 18. Remuera triumphed over Turanganui by 23 to 20. Good games were also witnessed between Pathiatua 21 and Eltham 18, Farndon 20 and Greytown 19, and Wellington 17 and Karori 16. In the Wanganui - Masterton match the scores were 13 each to the fifteenth head, and on the 19th Masterton were 22 to Wanganui's 21. Wanganui put on six in the remaining heads, and won by 27 to 22. Gisborne beat Dannevirke by 26 to 14. In the sixth round Wellington and Masterton played a most exciting game, Wellington scoring one on the last head, and winning by 18 to 15. Greenmeadows disposed of Karori by 34 to 11. Turanganui suffered defeat by 27 to 17 in their game with Eltham. Kelburne beat Gisborne by 22 to 16. Waipawa beat Pihama by 24 to 19. Greytown defeated Manaia by 28 to 18. Dannevirke were beaten by Feilding by 26 to 14. Waverley beat Pahiatua by 25 to 16. Bluff Hill won from Petane by 24 Farndon were outclassed by Waverley who won by 38 to 12. On the Greenmeadows green Napier beat St. John's by 22 to 18, Carlton beat Havelock by 21 to 18; Napier beat Havelock by 23 to 18, Havelock beat Newtown by 22 to 21, and Napier beat Hastings by 18 to 17.
