COLLIDES WITH A BREAKWATER. VESSEL BADLY DAMAGED. Received January 12, 10.25 a.m. SYDNEY. January 12. The steamer Rosedale collided with the breakwater at Bellinger Heads. A large hole was torn in her bow. She then went ashore. The passengers and craw were saved. They were landed by means of rocket lines. The vessel's position is considered to be hopeless.
