Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Palmerston North, report having held a clearing sale on Wednesday, for Mr Thos. Lancaster, of Fitzherbert East. Considering the very rough weather buyers .were present in good force from all round the district. All classes of 3tock were keenly competed for and the firm have to report a most successful sale. Fat lambs made 12siM. rape lambs 93 sd, 4-tooth ewes with lambs 8s 8d (all counted), full-mouthed breeding ewes 8s lOd. The dairy cows averaged £6 16s 6d, the best price obtained being £8 2s 6d; fat and forward cows £3 12s 6d to £3 17s 6d, empty heifers £2 12s 6d' to £3 12s 6d, store cows and calves £2 17s, pedigree Jersey bull 10 guineas, porkers 225, sows in pig £2 15s, horse, dray and harness £4O 10s. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows on their Eketahuna stock sale held yesterday: —There 1 was only a small yarding of cattle, no sheep coming forward. We quote: —Two-year heifers, £2; 3year hei'ers, £2 lis; forward empty cows, £3 3s; 18 month steers, £2 4s; bulls to £4 4s.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., repert as follows:—We held our first sale of the year in the Loan Company's Eketahuna yards on Friday, January Bth. Owing to the very wet weather very few sheep were yarded, but cattle came in up to advertised numbers, and sold well. We quote:—Sheep, 2 and 4-tooth wethers and ewes lis lid. Cattle: 3 and 4-year bullocks £4 12s 6d to £4 16s, 2-year steers £3 15s. fat cows (light) £3 5s to £3 10s, 15 to 18-month steers £2 2s to £2 15s.
