VENEZUELA.
FOUR HOURS' FIGHTING. Received December 30, 11.15 p.m. CARACAS, December 30. General Torres, with 500 followers, resisted the landing of VicePresident Gomez and officials at Macura from the gunboat Miranda. After four hours' fighting the gunboat withdrew, but Genera! Torres fled to Port of Spam, declaring that the odds ware too heavy to further resist.
Tweuty were killed during the fighting.
