VICTORIAN ELECTIONS.

MINISTER LOSES HIS SEAT

Received December 30, 10.55 a.m

MELBOURNE, December 30

Mr Hunt, Minister for Lands, lost his seat for Guulburn. Mr Swinburne secured hi 3 return for Hawthorn by only six votes. The only new members were new Labour men; the rest were formerly members of the House.

The opinion is held that unless Sir Thomas Bent can perform a miracle of political engineering, his Ministerial end has come.
