SHIPPING DISASTERS.
A TUG SINKS. WRECK OF A STEAMER. . Received December 29, 1.10 a.m SYDNEY", December 28. The ferry steamer Frederick Davis, purchased tor the Richmond River run in the Melbourne service, was voyaging to Melbourne when it sank thirty miles south of Clarence Heads in heavy weather. The crew, numbering seven, landed safely in a boat, but they were in an exhausted condition. Advic33 recaivad here state that tha Norwegian staamor Solglint was wrecked whih sealing at Crozen ißlands. The vessel was damaged when entering an unchartered channel, an i beaded to prevent her sinking. A portion of th 3 stores were landed.
A heavy sea broke the SSolglint up. The crew, numbering 70, remained on the Island for a month, and were rescued by two sealing schooners and landed at Durban.
