TEHERAN, December 27. The Shah has refused to issue the rescript convening a new Parliament until the Nationalist* quit the Turkish Embassy, where they have taken refuge. ' WOULD-BE ASSASSIN 55 . AN ATTEMPT THAT FAILED. Received December 28, 10.10 p.m. ST. PETERSBURG, Dec. 28. It is reported here that two men, disguised as priests, entered the Shah of Persia's Palace during a Cabinet meeting and drew revolvers. The two men then opened fire on those present. One shot passed thrtugh the epaulettes of the heirapparent. Cossacks arrested the would-be assassins.
