WEDDING AT FEATHERSTON.
WILTON—SKIPAGE. At St. John's Church, Featherrston, yesterday morning, Mr Lewis Wilton, fourth son of Mr T. Wilton, of Kangitumau, was married to Miss Letitia Marion Skipage, second daughter of Mr Charles Skipage, senr., of Featherston. Mr L. Hopkins was best man and Miss Ethel Skipage (sister ot the bride) and Miss L. Wilton (cousin of the bridegroom) were the bridesmaids. The bride wore a handsome Empire gown trimmed with Maltese lace and satin facings. She wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms. Miss Ethel Skipage wore a silk muslin dress trimmed with insertion, and Miss Wilton was attired in a dress of Indian lawn. Both bridesmaids wore hats to match. The bride was given away by her brother (Mr T. Skipage), and the Rev. Wynne Bond performed the marriage ceremony. The bridegroom presented the- bridesmaids with a gold brooch each. After the ceremony a large number of friends attended the wedding breakfast, where the usual toasts were honoured and felicitous speeches / made. Mr and Mrs Wilton left for the North by the 3.45 o'clock train, carrying with them the best wishes of a large circle of friends for their future welfare. The bride's travelling dress was a dark green costume, with hat to match. A large number of wedding presents were received.
